For a short period i lived within a half hours drive from Tintern across the River Severn near Bristol.
During the summer months i would drive to Tintern and pray my Office. It is a very special place to me and i always feel some sadness when i reflect on what could have been had the monarchs of the day not shown so much hate and contempt for the monastic life.
